Jeweller Agata Karwowska

About Agata

A self-taught artist, goldsmith, and a fervent advocate of ornament. With her creations, Agata Karwowska inspires a more sustainable approach to fine jewellery, trusting that artistic design leads to a more meaningful acquisition.

With proficiency in drawing, Agata instinctively perceives and renders reality through lines and colours. For years, this remained a hobby while she pursued a business career. Recognising the artistry in jewellery design became a catalyst for reconnecting with her creative sense and turning passion into a vocation.

Starting her career as a self-taught goldsmith, Agata Karwowska intuitively discovered and experimented with new techniques. Committed to expanding her technical skills, she later completed Jewellery Design and Manufacture diploma at the British Academy of Jewellery in London.

After graduating, she developed practical experience in traditional manufacturing at Hatton Garden 22 workshop, observing and learning from masters in stone setting and diamond mounting. Embarking on a research-based MA in Jewellery & Silversmithing at London Metropolitan University and a Classical Architecture Workshop at Oxford University was integral to shaping her design-oriented approach, detailed in her Artist's Statement.

Agata Karwowska's work was featured in the Shine 2021 exhibition at the Goldsmiths' Centre, where she debuted her 'Evergreen' Collection, presenting the debossing technique in jeweller’s wax.
